This is a list of tools that has helped me and will help you improve productivity or build cool stuff.

My most favourite tool? Before ChatGPT came out, it was Google. It may not seem obvious to some, but Google will direct you to the right place to learn these tools and anything else online. In my opinion, a course isn’t always necessary.

PM Tools:

Whimsical - To build wireframes or visualise what’s happening in your head in the form of mind maps or flow charts.

Figma - To build prototypes and MVPs.

Personally, I use Figma to edit pictures and posters as well.

Trello - One of the most popular and collaborative tools to help teams identify what everyone is working on at the moment and what will get picked up next.

No-code tools:

Webflow - To build websites with flexible design without the need for a developer.

I have built templates on Webflow for the marketing team to create events for Geektrust. This is also my favourite no-code website builder tool.

Squarespace - To also build websites but a lot more easy-to-use albeit with lesser flexibility than Webflow.

Vauld’s first website was built on Squarespace which I managed. It was the first no-code tool that I ever came across.

Carrd - A lot more easier than Squarespace to build websites. Can mostly be used to create websites to validate a hypothesis or if you’re just starting something out.

Glide - To build apps with a not-so-heavy system.

I have built some light apps on this mostly to play around with the tool. None of them have any market value.

Retool - To build internal tools or apps in your company with a simple UI. By connecting to your database, you can build and manage internal tools a lot faster and easier.

Data tools:

Google Sheets - Not just for data analysis but for literally anything.

Other than data analysis, I have used Google Sheets for tracking my tasks, achievements, user interview notes, and even created a design for a feature.

Mixpanel - Everyone’s favourite data tool to understand their user’s behaviours. Mine too!

Google Analytics - Helps you understand where your users are coming from and is a great free tool to give you real-time page analytics.

At Vauld, I couldn’t start my day without opening GA. (I hope you noticed the rhyme)

Metabase - An open-source business intelligence tool.

Briefly used this when trying to build a BI tool for Geektrust.

Redash - An open-source tool to create analytical dashboards. It’s quite similar to Metabase.

SQL - While not exactly a tool, my interest in data drove me to self-learn SQL to query databases.

I will add more tools as and when I remember them.
